Earlier this year I met with Andrea to discuss putting together a shoot with her. Andrea is an incredibly talented model with a unique look and absolutely wonderful personality. I loved working with her on this shoot. When we met we both knew we wanted to incorporate some vintage looks into the shoot so when I met Dawn over at Love that Lingers I knew I had to use some of her incredible collection for this set. The look came together when Kris over at Erebus Adornments gave me access to her selection of headpieces and jewelry. I was giddy with excitement over her handcrafted designs and they really made these shots pop. I cannot wait to work with these powerhouse ladies again!
Denver fine art fashion photography is so much fun and I love bringing concepts into my work to give them a story line. I dreamed up a gypsy for this shoot but wanted to stay away from the typical boho look that sometimes gets thrown around with the term gypsy. I wanted to bring a witchy factor into the overall look for some edge and I wanted a muted but interesting background. When Andrea and I met she told me about the Paint Mines in southern Colorado I was so excited to get down there and shoot. If you haven’t been, you need to go. This little known tourist destination in Colorado is one of the best kept secrets and I can’t wait to get back there. It was such a perfect location and tied the whole look together.
